Social Workers in Rural and Small Libraries (SWiRSL)

SWiRSL is a grant funded partnership between Niles District Library and six other libraries in the region, including Dowagiac District Library. Our goals are to connect patrons with information about services available in their community and to develop collaborative relationships with local service agencies.

Licensed social workers or social work interns from area universities will be available on a regular schedule or by appointment at each library to provide face-to-face assistance and referrals.

Social workers or social work interns can help you find answers to questions that you may have about:
Educational opportunities, employment assistance, emergency services, family matters, and other issues.

To talk with a licensed social worker or a social work intern, come see us at one of the libraries listed below, or schedule an appointment by calling 269-683-8545, ext. 111.
