STEAM for Tweens-Paper Airplane Science

  • Dowagiac District Library 211 Commercial St. Dowagiac, MI 49047 USA (map)

Children ages 8-12 are invited to join STEAM for Tweens, a new science program designed to engage young minds to think like a scientist. STEAM  for Tweens will meet at 4 pm in the Pokagon Room on the second level of the library.

Paper Airplane Science:  Just one sheet of paper can lead to a whole lot of fun. How? Paper planes! All you have to know is how to fold and you can have a simple plane in a matter of minutes! But what design should you use to build the best plane? In this aerodynamics science project, you will change the basic design of a paper plane and see how this affects its flight.

Join us for this STEAM for TWEENS activity to explore how the different forces allow a plane to fly, so get ready to start folding!

Space is limited, so please register by July 14 by calling (269) 782-3826 or email (att: Pam) at dowagiaclibrarystaff@gmail.com or fill out the form below
