Have a ‘ROARING’ good summer with us at the Dowagiac District Library and it all starts with our summer reading kickoff party!*

*All tickets have been distributed, but our fun-filled programs for that day are open and free to attend. The food truck will remain available for purchases at the established prices.

Adopt-A-Dino 10:30am-3:30pm

Kids get ready for the ultimate dino-hunt adventure! Stop by the library pavilion table at 10:30am, then embark on a quest around the library property where dinosaurs of every kind await your discovery. Claim your prehistoric pal and return to the pavilion to fill out your official adoption papers. This is also the time to register for summer reading too.

Woodstock & Grill Food Truck 11am-1pm*

Woodstock & Grill Food Truck is rolling in and dishing out scrumptious hot dogs and mouthwatering sandwiches.*

Potawatomi Zoo-to-You 1pm-2pm

Potawatomi Zoo is bringing the animals right to the library for our summer reading kickoff bash!

Color Fight 3:00pm-3:30pm

We will be using washable colored powders to color our fellow participants by spraying them at each other, so wear some old clothes and come join the fight!

*In case of inclement weather, the Adopt-A-Dino and Potawatomi Zoo-to-You will be moved to inside of the library. The Color Fight will be rescheduled for a different date.
